If you are fitting new bathroom suites in your home then here is a quick how to guide for those who have never before fitted bathroom suites.
The first thing you need to do is to turn off the cold water supply when you have done this you then need to drain the hot water tank, make sure you do this when you do not have hot water in it as this will be a huge waste of money. After you have drained the hot water you can now proceed with removing your old bathroom suite. Be careful when removing the taps as you do not want to damage any of the existing pipe work. You will need a ratchet and spanner to unscrew the old taps and for fixing the new taps securely in place. Be sure to get a bathroom suite which has all the same fixings in exactly the same place as your old one as this will mean you are able to just take out the old bath, basin and toilet and fit the new ones in place. Leave all bath and other panels off before testing whether you have any leaks if you are happy there are no leaks then fix all panels in place. It is worth using ptf tape when fixing all your taps to the pipes as this gives added protection against future leaks.
